Arching, leafy stems, about 3-8’ long, are donned with clusters of showy, bell-shaped, deep-pink flowers which comprise this shrubby, perennial, wildflower. Fruits in early September into fall and is more like a rounded capsule. Foliage transitions to shades of red and oranges in autumn. Ideal for bog gardens, streamside, or along ponds.
