This robust grower is known for its billowing, violet-blue flowers that arch over fuzzy gray green foliage, its rounded spreading form and its ability to perform in some of the more challenging spots in the landscape. This tough, long-lived, reliable bloomer loads up with buds in late spring and explodes into color in late May and early June with flowers climbing the ends of each stem. An excellent choice for those hot and dry spots in the landscape or the herb garden, 'Six Hills Giant' is a survivor that takes on drought, hot sun and poor soils and keeps on performing. Plant it in groups for a great show in early summer, cut some if its grayish foliage for its minty scent and marvel at how well it grows with so little input from you. For added bloom, cut 'Six Hill Giant' back by 2/3 after its intial bloom to promote another round of fragrant blue flowers. Deer resistant.
