Success Starts With Soil

‘October Glory’ is a female cultivar best known for its exceptional fall color. It grows 40–50' tall with a rounded, oval form. Small red flowers appear in early spring before the foliage emerges, followed by red-tinged samaras up to 1 1/2" long. Glossy, dark green leaves with red stems measure 3–6" across and have 3–5 lobes. The foliage retains its green color longer into fall than many other red maple cultivars, though in northern regions, frost may occur before fall color develops.
