David Austin® has a new garden classic in the making in 'Young Lycidas' that features an old rose flower form, a sparkling new color and a strong growing, compact plant form. Perched at the top of each stem of this dense, compact shrub are flower buds that are held singly or in groups. They begin to open in late May to proudly show off large, deeply cupped flowers with masses of informally arranged petals in a blend of magenta, pink and red contrasted with silvery petal backs, a color combination that is uniquely different from any other David Austin® Rose. 'Young Lycidas' is a a strong rebloomer throughout the summer which will give you months to soak up its deliciously strong scent of mixed tea and old Rose fragrances. Plant it in full sun with good airflow and be sure to use mulch around the plant and fertilize regularly during the growing season.
