Winter King is known for its great resistance to disease. It produces abundant flowers, larger fruits, silvery bark, and striking purple and scarlet fall foliage. Because of these qualities, it is considered one of the best hawthorns for landscaping. Unlike many other hawthorns, ‘Winter King’ is mostly thornless.
