Hot Summer Sun

IMG_7126

Do your annual planters look sad? Make them look happy again and replace some maybe, high maintenance annuals that look tired, with drought tolerant ones that would look fresh and beautiful now and into the fall too! Don’t just settle for the mums you find on the tables, you can get more longevity out of your planters with these great recommendations. We grow hot dry sun lovers specifically for this time of year. Try Vinca Rosea, Lantana, and/or Portulaca for a change. They all come in a wide variety of colors and Lantana will attract the hummingbirds for all the nature lovers out there. Some great foliage favorites of ours are grasses and succulents. Don’t be afraid to mix these “no fuss” plants with your flowers. Look for colors that would be great for the fall if you added a gourd or pumpkin to the mix later. This will make your planter last much longer than your common seasonal fall favorites. You’ll be so happy you switched it up.

That’s the dirt for now …
