Don’t you just love this time of year when the weather cools down, all the beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow cover the trees, and pumpkins are ready to pick? Well, we sure do! We go down to Pennsylvania and hand pick our pumpkins to give you the best selection out there. We can’t wait to tell you what we have, except we’re not sure where to start because we have one too many to choose from. Ok, I guess a list will do the trick, but that’s no fun. Try to pick out the different kinds of squash/gourds we have in our Garden Fairytale! Use the contact form and send me your list. The first person to get them all correct will win a $10.00 gift card (expires Halloween)!!!

A Garden Fairytale

Once upon a time there was a farm girl named Cinderella. She worked very hard on the farm everyday, but she was no knucklehead, she enjoyed the beautiful fall season’s shades of blue, pink and white that surrounded the field she worked in. There was this goose though, a gooseneck, that would get in her way one to many times. She distracted this goose by feeding him peanuts and cheese so she could pick the squash from the vines. Cinderella was always by herself doing all this work so she actually liked the goose’s company very much. She named him Hubbard even though people would tell her she was off her gourd. This didn’t bother Cinderella because at the very end of the harvest, she had the best looking pumpkins at the market with her pet goose by her side. Everyone stopped by her table to buy her produce and to meet Hubbard of course! *wink* She had her best season that year!

That’s the dirt for now …
